The holiday season in Ridgecrest, CA, means it is time for the Christmas Elk Parade! On December 14, 2013 plan on taking some time out of your day to enjoy a fun, family friendly event right here in the Ridgecrest community. Many Ridgecrest residents line-up to enjoy the festivities of the Christmas Elk Parade that includes many holiday floats from local businesses, schools, and charities that will be marching together to spread holiday cheer in Ridgecrest, CA.
The parade will begin at the corner of Norma St. and Las Flores Ave., and will then go south to Ridgecrest Blvd., east to Balsam St., and then north on Balsam and finish back on Las Flores.
The Elks have announced that this year’s grand marshal will be Sgt. Austyn B. Butler, U.S. Marine Corps. Butler is currently in charge of the Toys for Tots drive in the Ridgecrest community.
The Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce is still accepting applications for people who are interested in marching in the Christmas Elk’s Parade. All you have to do is stop by the Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce building located at 128 East California Ave. to apply. There is a $10 application fee for all applicants.
