The next wine tasting at Carriage Inn Ridgecrest will be happening on March 7! Our on-site restaurant, Cafe Potpourri, will be featuring Pianetta Winery. The winery is located in Southern Monterey Count near Paso Robles, CA. Pianetta offers many wine styles.

Pianetta Winery is backed by four generations of a farming
family, and they produce a premium red wine. The winery’s vineyard is located fourteen miles north of Paso Robles, while the tasting room is located in downtown Paso Robles. While most of the grapes that are harvested are sold to a major premium winery, they decided to open a small winery so that their wine could be better identified. According to their website, their grapes are picked by hand, then de-stemmed, lightly crushed and fermented. Afterwards, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months. Once the aging process is completed, the wine is bottled by hand.
